Termites | Lighting
Light is used to reveal carved patterns in my work. Patterns are cut into the wood so that light can pass through, trace their intersections, and make hidden structures visible. I am interested in how illumination can shift a carved surface from something static into something that changes with the viewer’s position and the surrounding space.
